Finding learning locations and workplaces

It's better to learn in the right environment. From home or on the go, you can find out about study locations on campus and secure one of the bookable workstations. This saves stress and unnecessary trips.

Learning spaces at the university – overview of study spaces in libraries and other locations on campus
Study space ticker – information on the current capacity of workspaces
Seat Reservation Service – booking workspaces (only with a valid university ID/login ID and a valid library card)
Accessibility – barrier-free access to the Central Library
Parent-child room – learning with children in the Central Library

Break & relaxation

Take a study break and recharge your energy. In the Central Library, we support you in this way:

Use the "ULB break disc" to secure your study space: for up to 60 minutes during the lunch break, at other times for a maximum of 30 minutes. The break discs are available in the reading room and at the information desk on the ground floor.

A water dispenser can be found in the ground floor reading room at the back (near the toilets). Drinks and snacks are available from the vending machine in the cafeteria (1st floor).

Do you like to study standing up for a change? This is possible at some standing desks in the reading room and with the wood-coloured desk converters for normal seating areas.
