Die Bib­liote­ka Nau­ki, mit englis­chem Namen „Library of Sci­ence“ stellt Open-Access-Lit­er­atur bere­it:

The Library of Sci­ence is an Open Access plat­form that makes avail­able meta­da­ta and full texts of arti­cles pub­lished in Pol­ish sci­en­tif­ic jour­nals and select­ed sci­en­tif­ic books.

The plat­form allows to browse full-text resources orig­i­nat­ing from five the­mat­ic data­bas­es:

AGRO (jour­nals on nat­ur­al and agri­cul­tur­al sci­ences),
BazTech (jour­nals in engi­neer­ing and tech­nol­o­gy and exact sci­ences),
CEJSH (jour­nals in human­i­ties, social sci­ences, the­ol­o­gy and arts),
DML-PL (jour­nals in math­e­mat­ics),
PSJD (jour­nals in med­ical and health sci­ences).

The major­i­ty of sci­en­tif­ic books avail­able on the Plat­form were pre­vi­ous­ly host­ed on a sep­a­rate “Open Book” site. Addi­tion­al books are added to the Library of Sci­ence on a dai­ly basis direct­ly by the coop­er­at­ing Pub­lish­ers.

The Library of Sci­ence is avail­able for free to any­one with a stan­dard web brows­er and inter­net con­nec­tion. The pub­li­ca­tions can be viewed and down­loaded on your com­put­er or mobile device with­out the neces­si­ty to log in on the Plat­form. Both arti­cles and books are avail­able in PDF for­mat and for­mats such as EPUB, MOBI and XML are sup­port­ed as well.

The pres­ence of arti­cles and books on the plat­form increas­es their vis­i­bil­i­ty in online search engines, which allows a wide audi­ence to find the pub­li­ca­tions, read them and sub­se­quent­ly cite them in their pub­li­ca­tions. Tools such as stan­dard-com­pli­ant cita­tion gen­er­a­tor or export­ing data to PBN (Pol­ish Sci­en­tif­ic Bib­li­og­ra­phy) are pub­licly avail­able.

The Library of Sci­ence is oper­at­ed by the Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary Cen­tre for Math­e­mat­i­cal and Com­pu­ta­tion­al Mod­el­ling at the Uni­ver­si­ty of War­saw where the Open Sci­ence Plat­form team is based.
